General information
 PANOMETR was founded by Karol Kwiatek MSc who studied Surveying and Cartography at AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow, Poland. The founder studied Geoinformatics, Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. He did the last year of his studies at Dresden University of Technology (Germany) as Socrates/Erasmus exchange student. He wrote his diploma thesis in English. It was entitled "Generation of a virtual tour in the 3D space applying panoramas exercised on the sites of Dresden and Cracow". The subject of the diploma was creating stereo-panoramas and virtual tours by means of images from digital panoramic camera Eyescan MM1 (the photo on the left). This thesis was acclaimed by Building Ministry.
The enterprise activity is creating interactive virtual tours and advanced full screen spherical and 3D panoramas which may be used by hotels, museums and tour operators in marketing purposes. These products may be put on-line in order to enable future clients to see hotels interiors, to make people interested in particular museum or city or it may be sold on cds as souvenir. Moreover, Panometr is able to design and create applications enriched with photogrametric products and other graphical effects.
 Why such name?
The mission of PANOMETR is constant development and appliction of modern technologies to the world of panoramas and photogrammetry.

METR = PhotograMETRy
= PANOMETR
Photogrammetry - a branch of science and technology which deals with recreating shapes, dimensions and mutual situation of objects in terrain on the strength of photogrammetric images.
